The last two weeks have been a bit of a roller coaster and not the kind that someone describes when they shoot to stardom overnight like Susan Boyle. There's no denying it, we all love to feel motivated. When we're motivated we push ourselves, we're proactive, we feel as though we're working towards a goal and MAKING PROGRESS. When something is missing from the equation and we loose sight of the goal, the goal post moves or we feel it is simply unobtainable we can feel the polar opposite to how we felt the day before. I don't know if I will have a job when I get married in 2 months, a thought that can be a little stressful at times. However, this is the life I decided to lead having left security behind. I made my bed and now I lie in it. I released my ship from the safe harbour and now I have to weather both the calm and stormy seas! I try to think "when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade" but sometimes it is difficult to always stay positive and focused. So, today's post is in honour of celebrating the small things that I feel are worthy of it and make me happy today.
1. We made our FIRST SALE!! Obviously a big milestone, we have achieved what we set out to do less than 2 months ago and have an opportunity to test AdSugar and see if there is a business model there and if so, what kind, size etc. Just when we least expected it, the sale came through and we are getting ready to rock and roll in April. Ahhh (Massive sigh of relief )
2. I had my best run EVER at lunch today. Ran my first 8 minute mile for 5 miles, felt strong, within my comfort zone and with a big smile bursting to come out once the running stopped. This is a huge achievement for me. Running is my least favourite sport and with my ironman less than 6 months away, we need to become better friends - this is a great start for me.
3. Today was Easter Lunch at the Bathtub. Yummy food, lovely people and beautiful building. Fab way to start the Easter weekend and get to know some of the newcomers at Bathtub.
Happy Easter Folks
