Today I headed back to mainland Singapore and decided to practice my photography skills by noticing all the small details of Singapore. I want to try and help my readers feel as though they are in these moments with me. Please let me know if I managed to achieve this in some way: sophie@challengesophie.com
I visited the Merlion statue and the Singapore Flyer.
In the evening I met a friend – Rob or Hutch, as he is known who has lived here for 2 years. We ate chicken and beef satay on Lau Pau Sat - Satay Street. We had beers and lime juice.
We talked about life in Singapore and shared views on the culture here. It was great to crystalise my own thoughts, experiences and findings whilst being in Singapore and see how they matched with someone who had spent a lot more time here. We headed onto Boat Quay – a mixture between the traditional buzzing port it once was and an upmarket riverside development. The cobbled streets, traditional Chinese buildings and quayside bars made it feel vibrant yet relaxed.
Another brilliant day and night in Singapore. Thanks to all who helped make it great.
