https://vimeo.com/52738292 Last year in October I met Sean Conway who gave up life as a photographer last year in search of endurance challenges and adventure. Currently training to swim the length of Britain, you can read more about his adventures here: http://www.seanconway.com/
A few weeks after we met I found myself in a car with 3 guys I didn't know, with my adventure gear stuffed into my pack in the back of the car, my bike attached to the roof and on a drive to Snowdonia, Wales to attempt the 3 Peaks Cycle Challenge.
Having done the original 3 Peaks Challenge where you climb the 3 peaks in 24 hours, I liked the idea of this adventure and was willing to give it my best shot. The plan was simple:
- Climb the 3 highest peaks in Wales, England and Scotland - Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis
- Cycle between them - circa 450 miles
- Wild camp and drink beer at the end of each day to celebrate milestones
- 3 days of adventure
My story has been published in Cycling Active magazine - below
It was one of my favourite adventures and a fun, challenging way to spend a weekend.
I'll publish my full report and pics soon
