Absolutely thrilled to share that I have been invited to open a new Go Outdoors shop in Peterborough tomorrow. Go Outdoors have been around since 1998 and the Peterborough store is their 50th. I feel incredibly lucky for this opportunity and to be part of the launch. Since hearing about this opportunity I've learnt that Go Outdoors is the the UK's largest retailer for outdoor clothing and equipment, never knew that!
This is a fantastic opportunity for me to share the message of what adventure and setting ourselves challenges in the outdoors can bring to our lives.
Adventure has been so instrumental in my life and I feel honoured to be part of other people's journey with adventure in any way I can. If through writing my blog, sharing pictures, meeting people at events and giving talks I can inspire you to try something new and create adventurous experiences for yourselves, that makes me one very happy lady!
Tomorrow is going to be a great day for me to get involved with the community and talk to people coming to the shop looking for new experiences in the outdoors. At 1pm I'll be on the climbing wall and at 2pm I'll be doing a Q&A session.
At 3pm Georgie Ainslie TV and radio presenter and newlywed wife of Sir Ben Ainslie will be arriving to share her stories and check out the new store. Looking forward to meeting her. Apparently she had her own adventure recently on honeymoon and had to be rescued by Richard Branson, sounds like there's an interesting story there!
